Rain of Death

It's raining acid!  Get under cover. Oh no, it's eating through the roof! Aaargh.

Try to survive for 30 seconds to go to the next level.

Controls:

You can walk, jump, swim, dig tunnels and dump piles of sand.

Left & Right arrow keys	walk
Up arrow key	jump (or swim up in water).
Z + arrow key	dig (let, right, up, down)
X + arrow key:	drop sand (left, right, down)

This game prototype was made for Trijam #268: Acid Rain.

There are currently only 6 levels. The next level is an empty screen.

This game is based on a simple falling-sand simulation (a type of cellular automata). Running the sand simulation on pico-8 is a bit of a stretch for performance! Because the frame rate is too low, the clock runs slow too.
